My name is Michael Conley from Tewksbury MA. Married to my amazing wife, we have two kids and a dog named Milo. We rescued him from a shelter in Texas (Shout out to Straight Outta Texas). I am an enthusiast about the great outdoors, sport and wildlife. Fittingly graduated with a Bachelors degree in Sport, Fitness and Leisure studies from Salem State College.

I drudged through a long list of jobs in my day. From a firefighter/EMT in Lynnfield MA to a prison guard for the Essex County Sheriffs Department. From landscaper to arborist. That barely scratches the surface. I currently work at Lahey Medical Center in the radiology department.
In sports, my passion comes from following the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics. 2001, the Patriots win Super Bowl XXXVI, thanks to an Adam Vinatieri field goal as time expires. That win sparked a passion for Boston sports that still flows today. Lucky Boston fans get championships from all 4 organizations since that year. Let’s go!
I have been fortunate in my life. Skiing the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, shred the breath-taking slopes in Lake Tahoe. Slayed every mountain New England has to offer. Skiing and hiking have always been a passion.

There is nothing more exciting to me than venturing out, exploring new areas. The freedom allows the mind to wander. It was from one these explorations I discovered the direction of my blog, Everything Plant.
Hiking allows you to connect with various animals roaming the forest. Being well educated on these creatures, it was the plant life that truly mesmerized me. Constantly crossing paths with various plants, some never seen before. Wondering, where did it come from? why was it put in existence?

This blog dissects the thousands of different plants that make up our eco-system.
- Trees
- Fruits and vegetables
- Mushrooms
- Grasses
- Flowers
- Weeds
- Bushes
Some plants are mass produced for human and animal consumption. Other plants living desolately, rarely seen by the human eye. All unique in their own way.
So many plants, so many uses, so much cultural signification. We will cover it all, in my attempt to add writing to my long list of occupations. Sit back, buckle up and hold on tight. Most importantly, enjoy!
